‘Sex & the City with less shoes and more therapy’

About ‘Other Lovers’

All Lena ever wanted was to be loved. Fresh out of a marriage and living halfway around the world, she enters the messed-up middle-age dating pool with a bang. And it seems rather dirty. From thrilling encounters to crazy assholes, the reclamation of her sensuality, finding her boundaries and healing some deep childhood wounds, Lena learns how to rise above all the ideas she’s been fed as a kid from fairytale endings to traditional relationship narratives. And she’s doing it with her besties by her side, every step of the way.

Delight in the adventures of the fashionista global girl group. Shiver at the raw and rude in-between bits of dating, romance and sex, that are usually hidden from our optics-obsessed world.

Fantasy. Cold Hard Reality. Toxic lust. Betrayal. The ick. Heartbreak. Heart-opening.  Poetry. The reclamation of love and the release of all that it is not.

And therapy. Lots of therapy.

Love Sex Poetry Peace follows the stories of 5 established women who are searching for love on their own terms.. and it looks different for each of them.

!!! Mild trigger warnings, coarse language and mid-level spice included

Expect to be challenged, moved, confronted, shocked and brought home to the heart like never before.

About the works

This women’s commercial fiction series is a point of departure from Natalia Rachel’s first  non-fiction book ‘Why am I like this?’ that came out with Penguin Random House in 2022. She’s dropped the lens of a therapist or a survivor and has explore through the lens of one complex women, wondering why love seems so elusive in today’s modern world.

While the work is a narrative lead fiction, it has been inspired by the lived experiences of the author, her inner circle and many of her therapy clients. The prose that precedes each chapter was originally part of Natalia’s personal process, and has been re-assigned to the characters in the series.

In addition to the fiction work, Natalia has created a bonus multi-media experience where readers can opt to cross over from being a fly on the wall in the characters journey of healing for love, and do their own inner work. This draws on her roots as a non-fiction writer and therapist. Natalia hopes that the works speak to the masses of women who are wishing for a greater kind of love, and inspires them to walk towards it.
